Kaiser Reinstates Health Insurance Policies In California
May 16, 2008
New York (ChattahBox) - The state Department of Managed Health Care has reached a deal with Kaiser Permanente to reinstate health insurance policies of around 1,200 patients who had their policies rescinded.
These 1,200 patients had their health insurance policies rescinded between 2004 and 2006, but will now have the opportunity to get them back once again.
These people all lost their health insurance after they incurred high medical expenses.
They will be offering some members the option to purchase individual coverage from Kaiser without any type of previous medical condition coming into play.
This follows a ruling dating back in April in California, affecting many companies including Kaiser, Blue Shield, Anthem, and PacifiCare.
