Cost Of Animal Disease Outbreak Could Be Disastrous

New York (ChattahBox) – A new federal report has shown that an animal disease outbreak could prove to be disastrous for the economy pending on where a new high-security research lab is built.
In total, there are 5 new locations being considered for the new research lab, which would replace he current lab at Plum Island, New York.
One of these locations is Manhattan, Kansas. The Homeland Security Department has stated the risk of an animal disease outbreak is slim.
If it were to occur though, the economic losses would total $4 billion an would be devastating to the economy.
The best decision, according to the report, would be to leave the lab where it is in New York.
