E. Coli Cases In Michigan, Ohio Linked To Beef

Boston (ChattahBox) - The cases of E. coli confirmed in both Ohio and Michigan have been linked as coming from the same strain. The cases in Michigan have all come after people either purchased or consumed ground beef from Kroger stores.
The Michigan Department of Community Health announced on Tuesday that the E. coli outbreak is believed to have been traced back to Kroger stores in the beef.
The 15 cases in Michigan took place between May 31 and June 8, with 10 having to be placed in the hospital
All of these cases have been linked to cases in Ohio as well.
The CDC has confirmed that the same strain is impacting both states.
Kroger is fully cooperating with state and federal investigators.
