The new merged network, SureScripts-RxHub will be operated by a chain including Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Rite Aid Corp, Walgreens Co., and others.

The new network will cut down drug prices, as it will push generic drugs and also make prescription processing faster.

The network will be able to pump out 100 million drug prescription orders each and every year over a computer.

The merger did not involve any cash, and the deal is not subject to any type of antitrust concerns.
