In order to protect your pets during the Fourth of July celebrations, the Humane Society of the United States has offered these tips to help pet owners.

The biggest tip of all is to just keep your pet inside, and in a very quiet and sheltered area of the house. While they are inside, it is also a good idea to turn on a television or radio, with something pet-friendly.

This can help keep them from hearing the loud bangs.

If your pet does happen to be outside, keep an eye on him or her at all times, as they are prone to run away due to the loud noises.

They also warned not to take your pet to the fireworks, and not to leave them in the car, as a car can get hot, even with the windows open.
