Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat from Nevada, is expected to once again try to pass the Medicare bill, which fell just one vote shy before.

The bill passed already in the House, despite a President Bush veto being threatened.

The biggest concern among Republicans is not the Medicare doctors’ payment rates, but the fact that the bill would stop their pay cuts, and take money from insurance companies.

The bill proposed would cance out the planned 10.6% pay cut to Medicare doctors, as talks will resume next week.
