The New York Times reported on on the drug Sunday, which is used to treat advanced lung, colon or breast cancer.

The report from doctors and researchers has found that the drug is expensive, and may not yield many great benefits.

For treatment, Avastin can cost $100,000 each and every year, and may only help people live longer by just a few months.

Doctors have deemed the benefits slim compared to the high cost.
