The FDA has been on the hunt for the source of the salmonella outbreak since April. It started with tomatoes, and now appears to likely come from ingredients in fresh salsa found in restaurants.

Since this has come out, they have decided to stop all shipments of jalapeno peppers, serrano pepeprs, scallions, and bulb onions from Mexico.

The FDA will be testing all imports at the border, as the CDC reports that the number of cases is now around 1,000 across 40 states.
