EPA Warns Climate Change Will Lead To Human Health Problems
July 18, 2008
Boston (ChattahBox) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released a new report which warns that climate change will result in threats to human health.
The EPA report was released on Thursday, and focused on things such as rising temperatures, heat waves, hurricanes, etc.
They believe that in the coming decades, more and more people will die from the rising temperatures, with the poor and elderly in inner cities at the greatest risk.
Other major health risks come from hurricanes, the rise in diseases, and a lack of fresh water.
To this point, the Bush administration has failed to acknowledge that that rising temperatures from climate change could pose health problems.
The EPA has made it clear though they feel it will pose great threats to human health.
