Scientists have confirmed that they have managed to grow heart blood vessels in mice....Washington (ChattahBox) – Scientists have confirmed that they have managed to grow heart blood vessels in mice.

The creation of these heart blood vessels could one day be created in humans to change heart surgeries.

Scientists stated that stem cells can be taken from either the blood system of adults, or the umbilical cord blood and can be injected into mice to form blood vessels which help the heart.

This could allow people to skip surgery in the future, allowing doctors to fix the heart and damaged organs using these cells.

People who have trouble with not receiving enough blood, or have been damaged by heart attacks, etc. may be repaired in this way.

The new method will be treated on more animals before it is tested on humans.

The news comes from Harvard Medical School and is published in the journal Circulation.
