First Case Of West Nile Virus Confirmed In State Of Idaho

The first case of the West Nile Virus has been confirmed in the state of Idaho this year..Washington (ChattahBox) – The first case of the West Nile Virus has been confirmed in the state of Idaho this year.

Thus far, the CDC has come out and confirmed that to date, 22 people have been impacted and have fallen ill due to the West Nile virus.

Communities in southeast Idaho have are on alert after a mosquito tested positive for the potentiall fatal disease.

Health officials have taken a proactive approach to try and cut down on mosquto breeding with traps and such.

Those living in the are are being urged to use bug repellent, and to wear long sleeves and pants.

The best thing to do is to avoid being outdoors at dawn and dusk.
