Georgia will receive $5 million of the $389 Bristol-Myers Squibb Co, Apothecon Inc.. settlement, according to reports..Atlanta (ChattahBox) – Georgia will receive $5 million of the $389 Bristol-Myers Squibb Co, Apothecon Inc.. settlement, according to reports.

Allegations were made against the company, stating that they took part in pricing and marketing practices which were deemed inappropriate.

The George Department of Community Health will receive $5 million in the settlement.

The National Association of Medicaid Fraud Control Units confirmed that the accusations included inflating prices, paying illegal remuneration to physicians, and others, etc.

The total settlement will be spread out among 43 states, the District of Columbia, as well as the federal government.
