The Medpedia Project made the announcement today of the world's largest collaborative online encyclopedia of medicine, called Medpedia....Washington (ChattahBox) – The Medpedia Project made the announcement today of the world’s largest collaborative online encyclopedia of medicine, called Medpedia.

Medpedia is being touted as the Wikipedia for health information, as it will allow for medical schools, physicians, hospitals, etc to all take part in building an amazing amount of information for people to use and learn about.

The information on Medpedia is going to focus on health, medicine, as well as the body.

It will be a free public site which will launch at the end of 2008.

As of right now, there is a preview site in place at Medpedia.com for people to check out.

Several health organizations have joined up to work on The Medpedia Project, including Harvard Medical School, University of Michigan Medical School, and others.
