Armstrong took the stage at a news conference on Wednesday with former surgeons RIchard Carmona, David Satcher, Joycelyn Elders, and Antonio Novello.

Lance Armstrong is a true role model as a cancer survivor, and world-class athlete.

He stated, “As a survivor, I think I can say this, we have taken our eye off the ball.”

Armstrong, along with the surgeons are pushing the American public to be more aware of cancer, its causes, etc.

In order to cut down on cancer in the U.S., it is being urged that people refrain from things such as smoking, and begin to follow a better diet, using sunscreen when in the sun, etc.
