The co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates has stated that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is going to be donating money for a smoke-free Olympics in China this summer...Beijing (ChattahBox) – The co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates has stated that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is going to be donating money for a smoke-free Olympics in China this summer.

Bill Gates, co-chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, stated at a press conference in New York City on Wednesday that he is joining up with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to fight the tobacco epidemic around the world.

The two united to pledge $375 million to fighting tobacco in countries such as China and India.

$130,000 of the money from the Gates’ foundation is set to help Beijing create a smoke-free Olympics, banning smoking in indoor public locations, workplaces, and other areas when they kick off next month.
