Federal investigators were able to use DNA from the anthrax mailings, linking them to a flask he used, according to a report from CNN.

The 62-year old Bruce Ivins last week killed himself after he reportedly figured out that he was set to be charged in the case.

The 2001 anthrax attacks killed 5 people, and made dozens more sick.

They took place shortly after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
