The new law is set to be presented by Supervisors Zev Yaroslavsky and Michael Antonovich.

They wil be presenting it to the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, who are said to be pretty open to the idea.

This would force fast-food restaurants, as well as other restaurant chains to post calorie counts on their menus.

The hope is that by doing this, they will be able to fight obesity and educate consumers about healthy food choices.

As of right now, nearly half of the adults living in Los Angeles are considered to be obese.
