Authorities have confirmed that a major hospital scam in Los Angeles involved the recruitment of homeless individuals....Washington (ChattahBox) – Authorities have confirmed that a major hospital scam in Los Angeles involved the recruitment of homeless individuals.

Three hospitals were raided in Los Angeles just last week, which resulted in two arrests.

The first arrest was of Dr. Rudra Sabarantnam, the owner of the City of Angels Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The second arrest was of Estill Mitts, who runs the 7th Street Christian Day Center.

Theya re both charged with healthcare fraud, as well as conspiring.

Reports state that Mitts would recruit homeless people from Skid Row to go to the hospital for unnecessary medical reasons.

They would be paid cash for their time, while the hospital would make money by scamming insurance companies.

As the investigation moves forward, more arrests are expected.
