A week a go, the E. coli bacteria was first detected in the water supply, and the warnings expanded from there.

Public works officials have been working to try and rid of the E. coli bacteria, as they have been trying to flush out fire hydrants/

Tactics they have been using include adding extra chorline to the water distribution system, among other things.

They hope that they will soon be able to kill the E. coli bacteria, known for symptoms such as cramps, nausea, diarrhea, headaches, etc.

The elderly, as well as infants and young children are at greatest risk due to weak immune systems.

Residents are being urged to use bottled water whenever possible.

Otherwise, they can also bring all water to a boil and then cool it before using it.
