California Lawmakers May Ban BPA In Baby Bottles, Cans
August 12, 2008
Sacramento (ChattahBox) - California lawmakers are close to putting a new law in place which would ban the use of the chemical bisphenol A (BPA) in baby bottles, and baby formula cans.
California lawmakers are giving serious thought to this new law, which would impact products intended for kids under the age of 3.
If it is put in place, California would become the first state in the U.S. to put a restriction on the use of BPA in these baby products.
Beyond California, there are 12 other states who are considering similar proposals.
Back in April, Canada banned the use of the chemical completely in these products.
