For the study, researchers looked at data from a survey of 58,511 U.S. men, all around the age of 40.

What they found was that 20% of these men actually received a prostate cancer test in the past year.

This comes as there are varying recommendations as to whether or not all people need to get an annual test.

The American Cancer Society tell people at age 45 to get an annual PSA test, while other groups say it is not necessary.

Young black men were found to be more likely than young white men to get a PSA test in the past 12 months as well.
