Be Careful, Moisturizers Have Been Linked To Skin Cancer
August 18, 2008
Hollywood (ChattahBox) - Researchers from Rutgers University in New Jersey have come out and reported that they have found a link between very common moisturizers, and skin cancer.
Researchers were led by Dr. Allan Conney from Rutgers University, looking into moisturizers and how they impact the body.
They conducted their test using four common moisturizers, Dermavan, Eucerin, Vanicream, and Dermabase.
From there, they tested hairless mice to try and see how they reacted to exposure to UV rays.
They tested some mice without the moisturizer being applied, and then with it.
Researchers found that the moisturizers made the mice more likely to develop non-melanoma skin cancer.
The study has been published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

Got something to say?

I also read that something like 80% of the control group developed cancer as well. So don’t be too quick to shout this from the top of the mountain…
