Judge Puts A Stop To 10% Medi-Cal Cuts In California

U.S. District Judge Christina Snyder in the state of California has come to the ruling to halt a planned 10% cut in Medi-Cal payments.<br />Washington (ChattahBox) – U.S. District Judge Christina Snyder in the state of California has come to the ruling to halt a planned 10% cut in Medi-Cal payments.

The 10% cut in Medi-Cal payments would impact dentists, doctors, as well as others.

California lawmakers originally passed the planned cuts to try to cut into the $15.2 billion state budget deficit.

The Legislature approved them back in February, only to be shot down by the judge.

The hope was that the cuts would save $650 million in the current fiscal year.
