Canadian health officials have confirmed that there have been 29 people sickened, and 15 deaths from the listeria outbreak.

Those sickened are being treated for listeriosis, and the fear is that many more deaths are to come.

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. meat plant in Toronto is believed to be the source of the outbreak. This comes after the company recalled over 220 products last weekend due to the fact that they believe they may have been contaminated with listeria.

The recall is already expected to cost the company over $20 million.

This new class action lawsuit could have them paying out millions more to those impacted.
