Texas Tops All States In Residents Who Lack Insurance

Houston (ChattahBox) - A major report was released by the U.S. Census Bureau this week, revealing that the total number of uninsured Americans actually dropped in the past year. The state that topped all others though in regards to the total number of residents without health insurance was the state of Texas.
The decrease was found to have no actual impact on the number of Americans without health insurance in the state of Texas.
Over the time period that the data focused on, the number of uninsured residents in Texas was at 24.4%.
This compared to the nation, which saw the number who lacked health insurance drom from 15.8% in 2006 to 15.3% in 2007.
It was also announced that the number of people with health insurance greatly increased over this time period as well.
Texas is reportedly the worst due to their lacking children’s health insurance programs, and Medicaid programs.
