Health Care Costs To Rise 5.7% In The Next Year
September 5, 2008
Washington (ChattahBox) - The consulting firm Mercer has put out a new report showing that they expect health care costs to increase by 5.7% in the coming year, 2009.
Health care costs have been rising over the past two years.
In the year 2007, health care costs rose 6.1%, and in 2008, they rose by 5.7%.
Mercer believes that they are going to increase yet again, with a 5.7% spike in health care costs.
Nearly 60% of companies in the U.S. will increase their health insurance policy premiums for employees.
This will take more money out of the pockets of employees to offset the rising health care costs companies have to deal with.
