Study Finds 9/11 Terror Attacks Caused PTSD, Asthma

New York (ChattahBox) – A new report released by the World Trade Center Health Registry has found that asthma cases and cases of post-traumatic stress disorder are widespread among those who experienced the 9/11 terrorist attacks first-hand.
This new report marks a very comprehensive look at the type of effect that 9/11 had on the health of nearly 100,000 people.
The data came from a public health registry of over 70,000 people. The registry tracked the effects of 9/11 on these people, and will continue to track their health for 20 years.
The people tracked in this registry include those living in Manhattan, people who passed by on 9/11, workers, rescue crews, etc.
They found that 70,000 people developed post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to the 9/11 attacks.
The report also found that between 4,000 and 12,000 have developed asthma.
