Study Shows A Vegan Diet And Exercise Fights Aging

Boston (ChattahBox) – According to a new study published in the journal Lancet Oncology, people can prevent aging and get their own fountain of youth with a vegan diet and regular exercise.
Everybody, for the most part, wants to stay young and stop aging. A team of researchers from the University of California, San Francisco, led by Prof. Dean Ornish of the Preventive Medicine Institute in California, may have found the answer.
They carried out the study on a group of 24 men with prostate cancer, and had them change their lifestyles.
They took part in regular exercise made up of workouts which lasted for 30 minutes, 6 days a week.
Every day they also needed an hour of meditation or relaxing.
Their diet was strict as well, as they could only get 10% of their calories from fat.
The man also had to consume fish oil, as well as vitamin supplements.
The food intake was a lot of whole foods, fruit, and vegetables.
This all led to an increase in the enzyme known as telomerase, which protects cells from aging.
The study showed that the lifestyle change increased their telomerase levels by 29%.
