Many Cereals For Kids Are Loaded With Unhealthy Sugar

Washington (ChattahBox) - Consumer Reports has come out and issued the results of a new study this week, showing that many cereals which kids in the U.S. eat ar every unhealthy, as they are loaded with sugar.
They carried out a study on a total of 91 kids aged 6 to 16, and found that on average, they consumed 60% more than what they should daily yin regards to serving size.
On top of that, they found that 11 different cereals kids ate were loaded with sugar.
These cereals had more than 50% sugar by weight, and included Post Golden Crisp from Kraft Foods Inc, as well as Kellogg’s Honey Smacks.
The other 9 brands of cereal had at least 40% sugar.
Consumer Reports stated that the healthiest cereals were Cheerios, Kix, and Honey Nut Cheerios, all from General Mills, as well as Life from Quaker Oats.
Healthy cereal has been proven to be a great way to start the day, improving weight, nutrition, and cognitive skills.
