“Increased testing for the virus has helped the doctors to detect the disease at a stage when it is still curable.”
This is not a correct statement. That is no cure for HIV, and even with an undetectable viral load maintained with medications, the disease still progresses; albeit much more slowly, making it a more manageable chronic condition, but a lifelong condition none-the-less.
