Biblical Frankincense Oil Kills Bladder Cancer Cells

(ChattahBox)—An exciting new study came out today, proving frankincense oil kills bladder cancer cells, providing hope for the estimated 53,000 people that are diagnosed with bladder cancer every year. Oklahoma researchers from the Oklahoma Health Sciences and the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center recently completed a clinical study using ancient frankincense oil on both cancerous and normal human bladder cells. The results were astonishing. Researcher H.K. Lin discovered that frankincense oil distinguishes between normal and cancerous cells, and more importantly, it kills off the cancerous cells.

This ancient oil, used as far back as the time of Jesus Christ as anointing oil, and even said to be presented as a gift to the baby Jesus by the Three Kings (Magi), has long been recognized as containing special healing properties. Also known as, boswellia carteri, this oil originates from the resin of small balsam trees that grow in Africa and the Middle East. It is frequently used in European hospitals as an anti-depressant, as it has soothing and anti-anxiety properties.

The Oklahoma researchers discovered frankincense oil does a lot more than calm ragged nerves; it also kills off cancer cells. It wipes them out in two ways. It first stops cell cycle progression, and the oil then slays the cancerous cells by creating multiple cell death pathways. Researcher H.K. Lin concluded from the results of the study, that frankincense oil provides a natural and inexpensive treatment for patients already diagnosed with bladder cancer.

Symptoms of bladder cancer are frequently ignored. Health officials say patients have the best chance of survival when it is caught early. Bladder cancer statistics put it as the fourth most common type of cancer in men, with smokers more at risk. Common symptoms include blood in the urine, frequent urination and pain when urinating. Women suffering from chronic bladder infections are also at risk.
