More Sex Leads to Healthier Sperm for Men

June 30, 2009

Australia (ChattahBox) – A new study has found that increased sex may be one of the factor of improving overall sperm health.

The study, performed by private medical company Sydney IVF, found that 118 men who had damaged sperm were able to lessen the DNA damage significantly by having sex on a daily basis.

“Some of the older men look a little concerned, but the younger ones seem quite happy about it,” Dr. David Greening, who led the study, commented.

Increased sex was one of several factors that were found to increase sperm health, including cutting out alcohol, quitting smoking, and exercising.

While the study shows promise in increasing fertility, other experts are saying that it may actually cause more problems than provide help.

“This may add even more anxiety and do more harm than good,” Bill Ledger, a professor at the University of Sheffield was quotes on Yahoo News.
