India launched a total of 10 satellites, which included a 700 kilogram remote-sensing satellite, as well as a smaller satellite and eight nano-satellites.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced that the mission was a complete and utter success.

The satellites were launched into orbit on the back of a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV).

ISRO chairman G. Madhavan stated the mission was a “success.” It was broadcast on television for the entire nation to see.

Russia’s past record was eight satellites being launched at once.
