A new study has revealed that early Mars was filled with lakes, rivers, as well as other wet environments which may have possibly supported life.Washington (ChattahBox) – A new study has revealed that early Mars was filled with lakes, rivers, as well as other wet environments which may have possibly supported life.

NASA issued a news released on Wednesday in regards to the study, which will be published in the journal Nature.

The study reveals that Mars managed to have clay minerals. This is an amazing discovery as clay minerals need water to be supported.

The data from this study reveals that water was very widespread and long-lasting on the planet.

The clay minerals last recorded having contact with water around 4.6 billion to 3.8 billion years ago on the red planet.
