July 29, 2008
Washington (ChattahBox) - Researchers from the California Institute of Technology have developed a new miniature microscope which is powerful, yet small enough to fit on your fingertip.
The researchers have touted the sheer magnifying power of this new mini microscope, which operated without any lenses or anything of that nature.
It is being touted as a tool that can be used for things such as looking at blood samples, checking water supplies, etc.
The new microscope can be mass-produced for just $10.
It is built from a combination of a computer chip along with micro-fluidics.
