Magic Red Wine Pill Lets You Eat Fatty Foods, Lose Weight

Boston (ChattahBox) - Scientists have managed to develop a new magic pill that can allow you to eat a high-fat diet while still losing weight and preventing diabetes.
French, Dutch, and American researchers carried out their work to create the drug known as SRT1720.
The drug has a way in which it acts that is similar to the reaction caused by the SRT1 activator resveratrol, found in red wine.
Taking one of these drugs is similar to getting the health benefits of gallons of wine at once.
They tested the drug on mice who were placed on a high-fat diet.
These mice were able to eat fatty foods while not gaining weight, and also better controlling blood sugar levels.
In mice at least, the drug was effective in helping lose weight and prevent diabetes.
The research has been published in the November issue of Cell Metabolism.
