A new study has found that headphones used with MP3 players can lead to interference with pacemakers and defibrillators

In some cases, they were found to actually deactivate the devices.

Defibrillators were twice as likely to be impacted by the MP3 headphones compared to pacemakers.

Magnets were believed to be the cause of the interference.
