First Commercial ‘Spaceport’ To Be Launched

December 23, 2008

US (ChattahBox) – Space travel has always been a high ambition, and dream, of many. Now it may be possible for the first time on a more accessible level, as the US Federal Aviation Administration has given it’s approval for the first commercial spaceport.

This spaceport will work with millionaire and owner of Virgin Atlantic, Richard Branson, to offer commercial two passenger trips 62 miles into the sky, giving them a chance to experience four minute suborbital rides.

“We are on track to begin construction in the first quarter of 2009, and have our facility completed as quickly as possible,” said Executive Director on the project, Steven Landeene.

They hope to have the port fully operational by the end of 2010.
