Update!! 100-FT Snake Photographed In Borneo?

February 19, 2009

Borneo (ChattahBox) – Images of a giant snake-like creature swimming along the Baleh river has locals afraid of a ancient legend, which speaks of a 100-ft snake known as the Nabau.

There have been sightings consistently over the last few months, as local villagers swear the mythical snake has returned to their waters, and after images were taken showing what appeared to be giant snake swimming along the Baleh, and others of one floating within the water of a remote little village, others are beginning to believe them.

While some people have suggested it is a log, most say that the explanation is ridiculous.

“A log can’t be that winding, can it?” one writer mused.

Update:Hoax!! image search site TinEye found the original snake-free photo (below).

honestly i studied the picture plenty of times an look at it features an wear abouts an as you can see in the second picture witch is circled look at it really closely you can see the waves it causes an also the top of the picture shows the reflection of the sky so theres another example that it was a picture taken from a helicopter an also look at the at the treess they too cause a shadow twords the river……but one thing i dont think is true its not 100ft its much bigger at least twice that size or even more because the point of elevation everything looks smaller as you look closer you can see that the snake is much more larger because those trees in that forest are gigantic up front this snakes head easyle has to be ten feet wide because this river is also extrmely wide so idk ABOUT ITS size but its bigger than 100ft

Im sorry this snake is not real. \the only species even slightly close to this size are species of anaconda and the largest seen of these is 27ft. Not only would they need to grow 3 times the size (judging by the helicopter photo 7 times the size) they live in SouthAmerica. The habitat also probable wouldnt be able to hold such a species with its food intake and the actual mass of the body in such a small width of water for its size. FAKE

the only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
Verily this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, however a snake of this greatness (size width) should be easy to track no? get multiple choppers get them flying around the place judging by the pictures its about 275-315ft long which is madness , so is it time to actually search for this beast? or just think oh it cant be real?….

This is an obvious photoshopped fake to anyone who isn’t completely thick! The Balleh River is a tributary of the Rajang, and is about half a kilometre wide at it’s smallest points – looking at the photo, the ‘snakes’ head appears to be roughly one tenth of that – that would make it’s head 50 metres wide!

Even if this pic is fake, monsterous animals are possible. Take into account all of the pollutants and the rise in population for example. These animals are being forced to go deeper in their habitats to hide from the many people that are everywhere. Obviously they arent going to hide right next to you. also animals are incredible smart the often hunt by vibrations or heat. I mean come on alot of animals can sense when bad weather is coming, so you mean to tell me that they cant sense when a mob is coming to capture them. And lastly pollutants. chemically altered DNA. We all know that cooperations cut corners to cut costs. say these animals got it to some chemical that severely altered its DNA. Its a long shot but stranger things are happening everyday. There are so many places humans cant go because of rough terrain, or no way to get there. Im not saying that this picture is fake or real, I didnt take it, I wasnt there. But both explainations are very possible. I think that sometimes for some people its easier to believe just because they want it so bad.

This is totally real, earlier this month scientists found a Titanoboa fossil, which was the largest snake ever discovered. It’s diet consisted of mainly crocodiles and it could swallow an animal the size of a cow. It’s not impossible. Bigger creatures have lived in the water before.

It has to be a hoax of some kind, look at the second pic of the river if those are full size trees then that snake is is like a quarter mile long and how wide is that river that river would have to be pretty small for that snake to look that big, even at say 30 ft a big retic would only be 2ft or 2.5, at the most wide! So with that said say the river in the above pic is 100 ft wide which is not a big river at all that snake would have to be like 20ft wide to look that big in the river. the other thing that you must take into consideration is food source there is nothing in the wild big enough to sustain a snake of that size to a 100 ft snake a cow would be like a mouse to a 10ft berm. And I am pretty sure that any body that knows anything about big snakes would agree with what I have said.

    O M F G
    this must be a joke
wtf…. this snake is a mile wide????’

  15. Dman on February 27th, 2009 6:52 pm

Yeah the massive scale of the snake is a lil hard to beleive,i have no knowledge of the actual size of the river but the trees would indicate the snake is about 200ft long and i really doubt a snake that size would go undetected up until now. There are alot of unknown creatures in this world to this day and there is a first time for everything but my personal feeling on this subject is that the snake is a fake.
