Red Sox, Marlins, Pirates Involved In Manny Ramirez Trade Deal
July 31, 2008
Washington (ChattahBox) - The Major League Baseball trading deadline is upon us, and just hours away. With that, it appears that the Boston Red Sox, Florida Marlins, and Pittsburgh Pirates are close to completing a three-way trade involving Manny Ramirez.
Manny Ramirez has been the hot topic over the course of the past week in MLB, as he has stated that he pretty much wants out of Boston.
Just before game last night, Manny Ramirez spoke to ESPN Deportes, stating that Boston does not deserve a player like him.
The players in the deal have not been named outside of Manny Ramirez.
FoxSports.com is reporting though that two big Marlins prospects may be involved, Ryan Tucker and Michael Stanton.
The deal could work with Manny going to the Florida Marlins, as they certainly have the pockets to pay him.
We will know more later in the day as the deadline nears.
