March 23, 2009

(ChattahBox) — Lance Armstrong may have broken his collarbone in a race in Spain today in a setback to his preparation for July’s Tour de France. The only man to win the Tour de France seven times, crashed on the first stage of a five-day race in Spain on Monday and was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Armstrong crashed, while he was in the main group of riders in pursuit of a four-rider breakaway. There are reports that he was brought down in a crash that contained between a dozen and 30-odd riders. Lance recently came out of retirement in January to raise awareness about cancer and because he still enjoys racing.
