Jelena Dokic’s Father Arrested After Bomb Threats

May 8, 2009

Australia (ChattahBox) – Damir Dokic, father of renowned tennis star Jelena Dokic, has more then proven his daughter’s allegation of abuse true, after threatening to kill an ambassador with a grenade.

Damir Dokic had read quotes from his famous daughter’s interview with Sport & Style Magazine, which stated that she had fled her home to escape the physical abuse delivered at the hand of her father. Angered by the statement, Damir decided to reinforce those claims with explosives, proving that he is not only seriously plagued by aggressive and violent tendencies, but he is also out of his mind.

He wrote the magazine, saying that he was never an abusive, angry, or violent parent, and that if Jelene (who has had no contact with her father for many years) did not retract the allegations, he would throw a bomb through the car window of Australia’s ambassador to Belgrade, Claire Birgin.

He has been arrested, and could face up to three years in prison for the threats, as well as the possession of illegal weapons and paraphernalia.
