UConn CB Jasper Howard dies after on-campus stabbing

(ChattahBox) — Connecticut Huskies starting cornerback Jasper Howard, 20, was stabbed to death Sunday morning, after an altercation following a dance where someone pulled a fire alarm on the University of Connecticut campus. Two people were stabbed in the fight, according to the Hartford Courant. Howard, a junior starting cornerback was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he died. There have been no arrests made, and the assailant is believed to be at large.

Howard had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery in the 38-25 win over Louisville on Saturday. UConn coach Randy Edsall who had to identify Howard’s body, says the cornerback was going to be a father.
