Tiger Woods Makes it Official That He Will Return for Masters

March 16, 2010

(ChattahBox) – Tiger Woods announced today (Tuesday) he will return to golf next month at the Masters. After returning from rehab and seen working on his game in long practice sessions it probably comes as little surprise that Woods is ready to return to the PGA Tour.

“The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect,” Woods said in a statement. “After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I’m ready to start my season at Augusta.”

Woods has not competed since Nov. 15 when he won the Australian Masters for his 82nd victory worldwide.  It’s previously been speculated that Woods will return in two weeks and play in the Arnold Palmer Invitational starting March 25, or that he would first entering in the March 22-23 Tavistock Cup, which will be played at his home course of Isleworth.  But in his statement, Woods said he regrets not being able to play in the Tavistock Cup and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
