Guitar Hero World Tour in its bundle form will release for $189 and will include the game, guitar, drums, and microphone.

The new Guitar Hero price point will be similar to the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii version. Many expect though for Rock Band to receive a price cut by the time the new Guitar Hero releases.

There is also still no word on if the Guitar Hero World Tour instruments will work with Rock Band, and vice versa.

Activision will likely confirm more about pricing and such in the coming weeks and months.

I would say the odds of the instruments being compatible are slim to none. The instruments in GH4 will be wireless. Also Activision has already been against instrument compatibility when they blocked the patch for the PS3 which would have allowed GH guitars to work with RB.

$189 is a great price though since the instruments should be of higher quality, being made by Red Octane. It’s worth an extra $20 to not have to keep sending your drums back, as I have heard is the case.

Got something to say?
