Google Earth Plug-In Brings 3D Views To Your Browser
May 29, 2008
New York (ChattahBox) - Google has released a new browser plug-in which will be bringing the amazing 3D views of Google Earth right to your Web browser.
The new plug-in feature works very similar to the API used for Google Maps, and will open up a whole new set of possibilities to Google Earth, which now has over 400 million users.
The new API tools for Google Earth will allow things such as the ability to change Google Maps API sites to 3D in Google Earth.
This will allow a plug-in to be added right to your browser to bring up and use Google Earth whenever needed.
Paul Rademacher who worked on the new update with the Google Earth plug-in and API stated to ComputerWorld that “Now inside a Web page you’ll be able to fly through San Francisco or see a 3D model of a cabin with exactly the view out the window of the mountains.”
Google believes this will help expand Google Earth greatly opening it up to millions more users.
