Sony Strikes Deal With Cable Companies To Use Tru2Way

Boston (ChattahBox) - Sony Electronics struck deals with all major U.S. cable operators on Tuesday to develop TVs which will use Tru2Way technology to incorporate set-top boxes into TVs.
Sony reached a deal with companies represented by the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, including Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Charter, Cablevision, and Bright House Networks.
Under the terms of the deal, Sony and the cable companies will adopt the Tru2Way technology as the plug and play standard to use for their development of the technology.
Soon, having to rent a cable box from your cable provider may be a thing of the past thanks to this new deal Sony has reached with companies.
