Toshiba Tops Apple, Lenovo With World’s Lightest Laptop

Boston (ChattahBox) - Toshiba Corp. has announced that they have surpassed both Apple and Lenovo, taking claim to having the world’s lightest laptop, the Protege R500-S5007V.
Toshiba has beat out the Apple MacBook Air and the Lenovo Thinkpad X300
Toshiba stated that their laptop weighs in at just 2.4 pounds.
Comparing this to others, the Apple MacBook Air weighs in at 3 pounds, and the Lenovo Thinkpad X300 at 2.93 pounds.
The laptop is 0.77-inches thick and also features a 128GB solid-state drive, a 12.1-inch screen, 1.33-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U7700 processor, 2MB of cache, and 2GB of RAM.
Toshiba has announced the MSRP at $2,999.
