Guitar Hero: On Tour for the DS sold through 300,000 units in its first week of sales in North America, making it the best DS software launch to date for Activision.

Activision even went as far as to state that the Guitar Hero DS launch is up there as one of the top-five launches of all time for the publisher.

This was the first Guitar Hero release for the DS, as rumors swirl that a sequel is already in the works.
