Qik Launches Public Beta, Adds New Features To Site

Qik, the live video-streaming site has progressed to the point where they are ready to launch a public beta..Boston (ChattahBox) – Qik, the live video-streaming site has progressed to the point where they are ready to launch a public beta.

The live video-streaming site Qik has garnered a lot of attention from the blogging community, and will launch a new public beta test with new features.

Among the new features is the ability for anyone to sign up for an account, even if they do not have a video-streaming phone or the like. All they need is to give a phone number to sign up.

More phones can be used with Qik now as well, including the the Samsung SHG-i600, Samsung SGH-i450, Motorola Q, Samsung Blackjack-II, Nokia N78, Samsung SGH-i560, and Samsung SGH-i550.

On top of that, they had added support for Verizon and Sprint networks now as well, in addition to AT&T and T-Mobile.
